Christy's Hand Crafts and Fair Trade Dolls

Christy’s Handcrafts offers children’s handcrafting classes and workshops to playgroups, schools, clubs, scouts, and charters in the San Diego area.

Currently available classes are:

Colorful Play-Clay:
ages: 3+

This hands-on experience will engage young children in measuring, pouring, and blending natural ingredients and botanically-derived dyes to create salt- dough in a rainbow of hues. Students will go home with a variety of play-clay samples from that day’s project.
Approximate class duration: 1 – 1 1/2 hrs.
Cost:
$12 per student
$120.00 minimum

Paper Pulp Painting:
ages: 5+

Students will dive into paper making using recycled paper, botanicals, and other natural resources to paint masterful works of art. Often seasonally oriented, this workshop provides opportunity for limitless creativity.
Class duration: 1 – 1 1/2 hrs.

$12 per student
$120.00 minimum

Community Tapestry:
ages 8+
Rent our 48” Friendly Children’s Loom while doing a unit study on community. Children can collaboratively custom design their class tapestry to reflect their community and then collectively weave their project. Encourages cooperation, fine motor skills, and concentration.
Yarn not included in rental.
$40.00 rental for first week.
$35.00 for second week.
On-site instruction available at additional cost.
